I've been doing this a long time. And out of respect for yours, I'll keep this brief.
I've been a filmmaker since I was 5 years old (Literally - I was writing scripts & shooting videos in 2nd grade. Adam Goldberg and I would have been best friends).
Here's a brief overview of where I've been, professionally...
1993 - Began volunteering at Channel 12, Lansing's Public Media Center, running camera for various TV shows, and producing content of my own.
1995 - Internship with Stephen Yake Productions in Tulsa, OK, where I worked on the film "R.I.O.T." starring Carman, Kimo, T-Bone, Sam Jones, Bo Hopkins, and Teri Copley, as well as several short films & music videos.
1997 - Hired as the Program Director of WKTV in Grand Rapids, MI, where I scheduled all programming, trained & supervised volunteer TV producers, and wrote, produced, and directed original content for the channel.
1999 - Hired as a News Editor for WZZM TV-13 in Grand Rapids, MI, where I ran studio cameras & edited the news.
2000 - Hired as the Production Manager of WINM TV-63 in Edgerton, OH, where I supervised the television studio & volunteer staff. We produced several weekly programs that aired locally, regionally, and sometimes internationally on the TCT Network. I also produced over 2,000 short films, music videos, and commercials for the network.
2002 - I wrote, directed, produced, shot, lit, and edited my first feature length film, "DREAMER: The Movie", which took two years to complete. I then self-distributed it into theaters in Michigan and Indiana in 2004. The world premiere took place at the Ionia Theater in Michigan on New Year's Eve 2004, and opened to the largest movie audience in the theater's 75 year history (over 600 tickets sold for the first show).
